Bulbine bulbosa, Bulbine lily is a great native alternative to daffodils, with added bonus of fragrance, long flowering period from spring through to autumn. Growing in various climates from Queensland to Tasmania and on a range of soil types. It withstands frost, perfect for water wise garden, great for rockeries, flower gardens, containers and it looks great planted in large clumps. It will die off in drier periods but will resprout in the cooler months. Critical habitat for native butterflies and other beneficial insects.
