Acacia melanoxylon – Blackwood
 
Fast growing with dark green leaves and clusters of creamy yellow flowers in late winter and early spring. Prefers moist well drained soils in shelterd position. Tolerates periodic inundation. Ideal screen or windbreak in higher rainfall zones. Grow can be stunted in exposed areas.
 
Bark placed in warm bath, good for Rheumatoid arthritis, seed ground for flour.
